Principal's Message
Dear Reed Family,
I am honored and humbled to address you all as the new principal of Reed Middle School. It is with great pride and excitement that I take on this role after serving as the campus assistant principal for the past three years. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome and support that I have already received from this amazing community.
I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and earned my Master's in Educational Leadership and Principal Certification from Texas Tech University. Duncanville ISD has been my home for the entirety of my educational career, as I served as a middle school math teacher at Byrd Middle School for 17 years before transitioning to administration at Reed Middle School.
As I begin my 22nd year with Duncanville ISD, I want to assure you that my commitment to our students' success and well-being remains unwavering. My primary goal is to ensure we engage, equip, and empower all scholars to achieve their unique potential. I believe education is a collaborative effort involving students, parents, teachers, staff, and the wider community. Together, we can create a nurturing and supportive atmosphere where every scholar feels valued, challenged, and inspired.
Open communication is of utmost importance to me, and I encourage parents and community members to actively engage in our school's activities and initiatives. I firmly believe in the power of collaboration and partnership, as your insights and perspectives are invaluable in shaping the future of our school.
I am excited to embark on this journey as your principal and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you better. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, ideas, or concerns you may have. Together, as a united school community, we will continue to build on our achievements, embrace new opportunities, and overcome any challenges. This will be the year that we inspire dreams and promote excellence.
It is Always a Great Day to be a Reed Panther!
Sincerely,
Olish Allen III
